All About....

TRENT!!! weekend
Saturday was a full day...
At 9 we had to be at Trent's last Upward Basketball game.  He has been playing on a league at a church in Bailey. The program is called Upwards...this is his first year playing and he really enjoyed it.  The program is centered around the fundamentals of Basketball while incorporating biblical truths.  They pray with the kids, have devotions, teach them about being good sports and each week they instruct them on a new basketball technique.  We were really impressed with the program.

Here are some pictures of #4 in action.....

the player....
handing out the "stars" at the end of the game.  Every game and practice the kids get stars for attending, best defense, best offense, most Christlikeness, Sportsmanship & Effort.  It was fun to hear Trent get excited about receiving certain stars.

 AWANA GAMES...
we then headed to Comstock Park HS for the AWANA games.  KCBC had 3 boys & 1 girls team participate this year.  Trent was getting ready to run the first leg of the Marathon relay.  He had to run three laps and hand it off to the next runner......
Here he is coming around the corner..hahaha!
Ya gotta love my photographing abilities!
AAAAAND they brought home the GOLD!
Here is his team members.
Ummm yeah, the boy in the back middle is a 6th grader!

UPWARD!
then we headed up to Grant for the Upward closing ceremonies. Here is Trent's team.
This is a shot of all the kids that participated in the program this year.  I think he said there was a 196 kids!!! That's a lot of kids!!!!
more hardware!   That boy!  Ya gotta love his zest for life!
and that's not all, we squeezed in a few more things this weekend too!
Check back to find out what....

Whew! I'm tired just reading about it all. It's great you make time for all the boys - no easy feet!
