Purse...

On October 26 my purse was stolen from a dinner at my church....

unfortunately, someone came riding up on a bike....while we were in a room and my purse was in the kitchen and left unattended for less than 1/2 hour.

We looked all over town ....talked to everyone that we could think of... looked in dumpsters, abandoned building, newspaper semi, gas stations, behind buildings, in fields, the local barber (they know everything!)..NOTHING!

We filed a police report with not much hope.

Eight..EIGHT weeks after it came up missing...we received a phone call from a guy that had been out walking his dogs and they had come upon my purse under a bridge!!!  REALLY!!  It was under a piece of concrete.  Praising the Lord for good people!

  Everything was intact, there was even money left in it!  

The only bummer in the story was my Bible was in the purse and is still missing..which I'm still bumming about.  As much as I would like to think the thief kept it and is reading it..that probably is not the reality...but maybe?!?

Grayling ready or not....

As most of you will remember, we get together for our annual Buck-hart family get together following Christmas.  We have done this for more than 15 years..I think??

Our original trip was to Grayling many years ago..we have visited many other hotels...but this year we were back to our old haunt!

We took a road trip to Jay's Sporting Goods in Gaylord.

We illegally had 9 of us in the Expedition

Grandpa safely drove us while I rubbed his shoulders..and head...and generally pick at him

We got lunch at Applebee's....

We rent a conference room so we can all hang out together

After FFF we had a Euchre tournament.

Steve was the BIG winner.  

We had a fun time reconnecting with family!

As life would have it....we have all been separated by miles.... this is our special time to get together!  I'm so glad we have made it an priority to keep getting together.  Some of the "kids" have gotten married and we even have little Caleb now...moving on to the next generation.  We don't have a lot of traditions at our house but this is one of the ones we have held tightly too!
