Delivery Day...
Steve had to deliver it to their fire house. Most of the time a fd will bring down a couple of guys to bring it home...but they opted for a delivery to their fire house. So, here is what I looked at as I followed Steve from South Haven to Big Rapids....he kind of wanted to come home after delivering it!

Busy Week....
I thought he was being too wild, so she was carrying him up...nope!

He had fallen on an end table in the basement and split his head open! It appeared he was going to need a couple of stitches. Steve and Tod took off for the Med-Center around 9:30....arriving back home around 11:30..not bad.
Trent was a real trooper. It is hard for this area to get numb, so they just put on a topical and start stitch'n. Steve said he never shed a tear..he's one tough cookie!
The crazy thing is, he was signed up for camp starting Monday..how would we get his stitches out in the recommended 5 days??? Lucky for us, one of our friends is the camp nurse so we cornered her on Sunday and she agreed to take them out on Wed. BTW...she called and she was able to take them out tonight.
Never a dull moment.

Father's Day...
With all the busyness, we oped to go out to eat on Father's Day..I know, we should have grilled.

We went up to Cronk's Oakridge, it's a family type restaurant in Newaygo. We frequent it often..maybe too often!
Here's the crew that came. Neil & Bonnie, Troy, Dad & Linda, Hannah, Tod & Julie, Trent and Joanne (Steve taking the picture)
Steve and Trent (he's trying to show off his stitches)
Steve's gift, as at home, on the back patio waiting for a steak.
Dad...opening his present..oh, it's a red shirt and cashews.
Neil opening his present...oh, it's a shirt and a photo book. I made a book of the photo's of our 4-wheeling trip.
It's a great gift idea if you are stumped for a gift. You can make them online or right at Walmart (I'm getting a cut from all their photo book sales)
We are blessed to have great Dad's and Grandpa's. You guys rock....

Couldn't Resist....

Steve has been a wonderful husband..I am soooo blessed. He was made for me! Thank you God for bringing him in to my life many many years ago! Thank you Steve for not getting tired of waiting for me!

Happy Birthday Steve!
Okay, I can't resist telling you the 'rest of the story'....I actually found this card at Goodwill! TOOO Stinking Funny! They had totes of new cards from, apparently, a store that had closed down. Is that not hilarious! I have no shame!

Mr. Fix-it Addendum...

Problem one...he forgot to check where it was coming from......you guessed it China! So after 3 weeks of waiting, it arrived..the master was at work! He couldn't wait to get it working!

Problem two....Did you realize the ink dries up after sitting unused for 1 year...okay we were expecting that....but then just the magenta wouldn't work....odd. So take it apart and test the circuit board (or something like that!)....not getting proper signal....start soldering on tiny board. Oops, drop big glob of solder on board....that's not good!
Joanne goes to Radio Shack to purchase 'Solder Sucker'..to remove glob of solder...doesn't work....down by another $9.98!
The story is still progress.....He will not except defeat. He will not quit! ON the upside..we can print all black copies fine....just color doesn't work (which he didn't need anyway!)
PRAY for us as we grieve with Steve.....I guess he can't fix everything! There might be a rebuttal coming.....

Mr Fix-it!
Just the other day he delighted me by fixing my mouse....it had issues...serious issues! I would scroll down and it would....but then it would scroll up and then back down and up and down. You see how this could be irritating when you are trying to read a blog. You have to take Dramamine before you start scrolling your blog list.
As I was telling him about my mouse issues the other day...his first response was...use this corded mouse. I wanted to keep my cordless mouse. Then I proceeded to try and pry my sick mouse apart. He responded in his most loving voice...give it to me. (It had screws holding it together..I would have been there awhile!) He examined it's inter workings..and blew a magic breath of life into it. It is a joy to scroll now! I scroll all the day long..scrolling here and scrolling there!
You are a true servant to me Steve! You keep our house running at top scrolling speed! Love my WD-30 and you!
